about

The format was first implemented by Joseph Sieber in autumn 2021 at the Royal Northern College of Music with fellow musicians and has been continuously developed ever since. The aim is to create the most straightforward version of a socially and musically valuable ensemble orchestra with a uniquely diverse spectrum of orchestral musicians of all ages.

Since 2024, the Repertoire Orchestra has also been performing in the major German-speaking Swiss cities of Zurich, Bern, Basel and Lucerne – further branches, including abroad, are in the planning stage. More than 200 musicians aged between 14 and 84 from all over the country have already played with the orchestra.

The Repertoire Orchestra is one of several complementary formats for symphony orchestras – produced and distributed by the educational initiative Simple Symphony for customers around the world.
